We learnt back in September 2021 that a reimagined Finding Nemo: The Musical show based on the same beloved characters named, ‘Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!’, would debut in 2022. We know that the show will return this summer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and rehearsals started on Monday March 28.
We have been given further details as to what to expect from ‘Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!’ which will be a fully updated 25-minute show featuring fan-favorite songs such as ‘In the Big Blue World’ and ‘Go with the Flow’.
The show will include a new script with live performers and puppets and new scenic set pieces including a LED video wall and a 32-foot-long sunken submarine and fish tank volcano which is said to be nearly 15-feet tall.
Disney has released a video to give us a first glimpse of what we can expect from the new show. This video is embedded below. As you can see the story will start at the Marine Life Institute from the film ‘Finding Dory’ where the fish have been rescued and are now ready to be released back into the ocean. Before they go they share the story of ‘Finding Nemo’.
We still haven’t got a confirmed opening date for the debut of Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!
